Weigel Designs, “Always a Good Plan”.

Contemporary Craftsman Style

If you are looking for something unique, you have come to the right place. These fine folks came to Weigel Designs with a plan that was very nice but was several hundred square feet larger than their budget would allow. The plan did not take advantage of the views either. Steve kept everything they wanted in the previous plan. He then came up with a completely unique and highly efficient great room plan within the overall square footage required. The very contemporary look was just what they were looking for.

This home is  truly great, the great room that is, with an open stairway to the walk-out basement and glass guardrails. The owners saw the railing detail without ever discussing it with Steve. It was exactly what they were looking for. The great room features include a mono-slope vaulted ceiling of mixed wood species. Also strategically placed large windows take in the views of the wildlife that frequent the premises daily. A separate wet bar area and a spacious kitchen with walk-in pantry border this great room. Stone accents highlight the interior with a hint of craftsman style trim.

There are three wings attached to this great room plan, the garage/mudroom, master bedroom suite and a two-bedroom wing with a shared two-compartment bathroom. Last but not least, there is also an attached covered roof patio with a kitchen pass-thru window. Oh, and we almost forgot the additional covered patio off the bar area looking up into the woods!

Rustic Timber Framed Style

This rustic home nestled in a horseshoe valley with trout ponds and stream is simply beautiful. The house features a timber framed great room with reclaimed douglas fir posts and beams. A magnificent stone fireplace ascends up to a highly energy efficient insulated panel roof system with wood plank finish. The spacious garage is detached adding to privacy for a guest bedroom suite above. Both structures are connected with wrap-around porch allowing for outdoor living everywhere. Consequently the porch lends to easy cleaning for all the large windows. And with a beautiful wood and meadow property such as this, outdoor living is just the ticket!

Contemporary French Country Style Home

This secluded home atop a hill has many beautiful features both inside and out. The grand entry opens up into a curved stairway rotunda and straight ahead is the living room with barrel vault ceiling and an elegant dining room to the side with a multi-tiered ceiling to name just a few items. An octagon shaped tower soars 3-stories above the yard giving any gathering plenty of room to visit while taking in the 360 degree view of the property that is completely surrounded by woods and wildlife!

Many other surprising features to this home … too many to mention!
